A Bit About Maple

Learn a little bit about who you’re trusting to guide your classes. Born off the cold shores of Newfoundland, Canada and named by her father as Jennifer, her grandmother endearingly nicknamed her Maple.

At a young age Maple would play teacher with her hordes of stuffed animals. In middle school she found skateboarding to be both fun and an excellent mode of transportation. In high school she made the school’s front flier for helping to make the school’s gym environment a more accessible place for all abilities of students. In motherhood she discovered a reconnect with her yoga practice and eventually found herself taking teacher trainings while raising her two young daughters with her husband, and completing college- from high school completion through her masters degree in Education (MS. Ed.).

Maple’s passion is to be the healthiest version of herself and to help others sustain healthy, active lifestyles as we age -and have fun doing it!

Currently, Maple is about to embark on her newest journey attending Hawaii Pacific University's (HPU) Doctor in Physical Therapy (DPT) program (class of 2028). She hopes to combine yoga with PT in the future and to continue offering classes and yoga retreats.

Outside of studios and school, Maple enjoys gardening, going to spin and reformer classes, hiking, snorkeling, and watching movies with her husband of 28 years with their cat.
